Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA)

Percutaneous sperm aspiration: This is a type of surgical sperm retrieval that is used to retrieve cells from the epididymis of men who are azoospermic (no sperm cells in the ejaculation) as a result of blockage in the tubes(Vas Deference).

The procedure is usually performed on the day of egg retrievals, so that if sperm cells are found, they can be used in ICSI.
